Ken and Cheryl Huxter became AIM Chairman’s Club Directors in October of 1995. This year they were inducted into the company’s Million Dollar Club at the AIM convention in San Antonio. Both accomplishments are major but the Huxters feel other AIM Members are capable of attaining the same recognition.

Says Ken: “If we can be successful living in a small town of 400 people on the island of Newfoundland working 16 hours a day running a restaurant in nearby Corner Brook, then anyone can do it from anywhere.”

So just exactly how did they do it? One person at a time, they say. Establish in that person a “belief in one product before you can get him to believe in everything else. The ultimate goal is to get him to believe in himself, that he can do it.”

The Huxters’ story of their involvement with AIM is not unlike many others. Cheryl needed something. She was suffering from high blood pressure. During a five-minute phone call with a relative of Cheryl’s, Ken was persuaded to order some green barley powder to see if it would help with Cheryl’s blood pressure. He ordered two bottles, and they began taking it. Both began feeling better immediately. “The next order we signed up (as Members) and ordered six bottles so we could get it wholesale because we saw a dramatic difference in both our health.” That was in the spring of 1988. “We got involved with AIM initially to see if it would help Cheryl’s health problems, but then we began sharing AIM with our customers, family, and friends.” And now they are among a select elite in The AIM Companies™ – Chairman’s Club Directors and Million Dollar Club Members.

So now what? “Same as before,” says Ken. “Keep on keeping on. We will continue to have fun, travel, and enjoy life. We want to help others do the same with AIM. We didn’t set out to make money with AIM. We just wanted something to improve our health. But I quickly saw AIM as a wonderful tool and as a path to a higher quality of life. Cheryl didn’t want to get involved because we were too busy in our restaurant for her to consider building another business. But she quickly caught the vision.”
Add the Huxters: “Give God the glory and thanks for making all this happen. And thanks to Paul Forgrave (Cheryl’s cousin who made the phone call that resulted in the Huxters buying some green barley powder) for having the guts to make that first phone call. Because without that first contact, nothing happens.”

The Huxters have three children, and seven grandchildren. They live on the Humber River near a ski resort in the Long Range Mountains of western Newfoundland. A perfect place to enjoy their hobbies – snowmobiling, skiing, fly-fishing, reading, and camping. A nice place to reflect on their former lives. Ken was a teacher and retired from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police after 25 years. Cheryl was a physician’s receptionist and a bank employee.

AIM BarleyLife® remains to this day the Huxters’ favorite AIM product. “It was the first product we had and it is the one that started it all.” Ken notes that “AIM has allowed us to have a wonderful life of better health, wealth, travel, speaking, and dealing with wonderful people in AIM and in our associates. AIM gave us freedom from being tied down to a long daily routine at our restaurant.”

With AIM, they have traveled to Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, throughout North America, and have been on an Alaskan cruise. And there was one more special trip – a Million Dollar Club recognition in San Antonio. Ken’s words in 1995 when inducted into the Chairman’s Club ring just as true today: “I am happier doing this than anything I have ever
done in my life.”
