Art and Klazina Ketting
You can learn a lot from
our four-legged friends

Credit a cat for helping Art and Klazina Ketting get started in the AIM business. Today they are Chairman’s Club Directors and were recognized as Members of the Million Dollar Club at the company’s annual convention in San Antonio.

But back to the cat. In 1991, Klazina was beginning to feel some aches and pains. “I had always been very athletic and in good health. But aches and pains started to show up in my body. Why was this occurring?” Her interest in green barley powder was aroused when she heard about a cat with severe arthritis that regained its health after taking some of it. Still, she wasn’t quite convinced to try the powder herself. It was husband Art who decided they should buy some of this green barley powder to see if it improved their health. It did.

Recalls Art: “Initially we just wanted to buy the green powder for ourselves. Then friends bought the product. Our health and our friends’ health improved. That is when we decided to look at the business opportunity. We have never looked back.”

Deciding to do something is one thing, but how did they put the business together to the point where they are now among the few AIM Members who are both Chairman’s Club Directors and Million Dollar Club honorees? “We got lucky because our area has an organic farmers’ market,” says Klazina of her hometown area of Lanark in Ontario, Canada. “We had the opportunity to set up a nutrition booth. We have been fortunate enough to do a major portion of our business with people who have come to know us through the market.”

AIM is their full-time business. The income has allowed them to do two things important in their lives, travel and live in the country. They have visited their daughter and son-in-law in India and “realized a dream come true,” says Art. “We visited the Taj Mahal.”

In addition, the success they had with their AIM business gave them the opportunity to move into the country, another dream realized. They live on 10 acres, with lots of trees including a number of maple trees.

Today the Kettings do a lot of their AIM business by phone and the Internet. But they have not forgotten what it took to get them where they are today. “Build trust, become a friend,” says Art. “Share health information and most of the time a product order follows. This is the kind of business we want to be in, and AIM makes it possible. To improve other people’s lives and health is the best reward one can receive.”

They wish to thank those who had a role in their success:
• For establishing a family atmosphere at AIM: Dennis and Kay Itami, Ron and Opal Wright, and Jim and Carolyn Kling.
• For the educational material they find so vital in building an AIM business: Dr. Mary Ruth Swope, Janet Pauly, and Teresa Schumacher.
• For support from the AIM Canadian office: Rose Bird, general manager.
• For their loyalty all these years: “Our great Members in our team. Thank you for believing in us and staying with us through all these years. See you at the top, it is your turn now.”

The Kettings have two married daughters and two grandchildren. Art loves to work with computers, do some gardening, and find useful applications for his at-home solar power project. Klazina also likes to garden, do things outdoors to stay fit, and research preventive health and organic nutrition.

And they have never forgotten the healing lesson from that cat back in 1991. Their own dog “was very sick with many digestive issues and vomiting. The veterinarian would prescribe all kinds of medicine and he still was sick. Then we decided to put him on AIM BarleyLife®. Before long he was a healthy, active dog again with no digestive problems.”

The future for the Kettings will be a repeat of the past, they say. “We will keep sharing the AIM products with whoever crosses our path in life.”
