hydrapeutic hand cream

Frequently Asked Questions

• What does “hydrapeutic” mean?

We created this term to express the extraordinary effect of upper hand hand cream. More than just soothing the skin topically, the highly purified water, glycerin, and aloe leaf juice penetrate deeply to restore moisture balance on a cellular level. This deep hydration combined with the nutrients, extracts, and vitamins in the product restores damaged tissue and work-worn hands (and feet) at the deepest level.

• What kind of water is used?

This is an excellent question since water is the primary ingredient in each AIM dailyLife™ product. Our water is taken from an Artesian well located on the property where the products are produced. The water goes through an extensive purification process to ensure that absolute purity is achieved. Because our products are so effectively absorbed, we are careful that the water your skin and hair is absorbing is safe and pure.

• Are the fragrances hypoallergenic?

AIM chooses to avoid the term “hypoallergenic” because this term is an unregulated marketing term that has come to mean very little. There are no federal standards or definitions that regulate the use of the term “hypoallergenic” on skin care products. This term can be used in any way a particular company wishes. Products that are labeled hypoallergenic are not required to submit substantiation of their hypoallergenic claims to the FDA. We have conducted extensive trials of this product with AIM staff and Members with no adverse reports. However, the sensitivity of each individual’s skin is unique. If you experience any discomfort, please return them for a full refund. If you are aware of sensitivities to specific ingredients, please click the 'ingredients" link for a descriptive list of all ingredients.

• My hands sometimes crack and occasionally bleed. Can I still use upper hand hand cream?

The beauty of upper hand hand cream is its water-soluble nature. Some topical creams and salves are not water-soluble, which traps moisture and bacteria in the wound leading to infection. Because upper hand hand cream is water-soluble, it allows air, soap, and nutrients to reach the cracked and bleeding areas, enhancing the body’s healing ability and avoiding contamination.

For significant cracking, we recommend thoroughly washing your hands with soap, applying a generous portion of cream, and sleeping with cotton gloves to keep the lotion in place without trapping bacteria and moisture. This can be repeated nightly until skin is restored to its normal supple state.

• Why do I use less than other creams?

AIM’s upper hand hand cream has a much larger proportion of vegetable-based glycerin than most creams – glycerin makes up 25 percent of the formula. This not only makes the cream thicker for greater coverage with less product, but it remains active on and in the skin longer, resulting in fewer applications.

• Why do you use preservatives in the cream?

AIM is committed to keeping every product we produce as “close to nature” as possible. We have maintained our commitment with these products; however, the use of minimal amounts of preservatives in the dailyLife™ line is essential for safety reasons. Two factors come into play with the use of topical creams, washes, and hair products. Because the product is exposed to hands and air, there is a natural contamination from outside elements that can introduce bacteria or fungi to the product. A small amount of preservative ensures that these unwanted pathogens do not find a home in the product and infect the user. Also, the formulas contain very effective natural extracts, botanicals, vitamins, and amino acids, some of which can diminish or lose their efficacy over time. To avoid the inevitable breakdown of certain powerful-yet-delicate ingredients, preservatives are employed to ensure the product’s efficacy and safety over time. Our goal has been to use the minimal amount of preservative ingredients possible, which, when all preservatives are combined, totals less than 1 percent of the formula.

• Is there anyone who shouldn’t use upper hand hand cream?

We have formulated all our dailyLife™ products to be safe, focusing on the use of natural extracts and vitamins. We do recommend that children only use these products under adult supervision since the products are intended for topical use and we caution against the possibility of accidental oral ingestion.

Every individual has unique skin qualities. If, for any reason, your skin becomes irritated, please discontinue the use of the product and, if necessary, consult with a dermatologist. Our guarantee allows you to return the product for a full refund if you are not satisfied for any reason.
