botanicleansing body wash

Frequently Asked Questions

• What does “botanicleansing” mean?

We penned the term “botanicleansing” to reflect the veritable garden of plant-based extracts, called botanicals, that combine to provide skin ‘n bare it’s deep cleansing and nourishing action.

• What kind of water is used?

This is an excellent question since water is the primary ingredient in each AIM dailyLife™ product. Our water is taken from an Artesian well located on the property where the products are produced. The water goes through an extensive purification process to ensure that absolute purity is achieved. Because our products are so effectively absorbed, we are careful that the water your skin and hair is absorbing is safe and pure.

• Are the fragrances hypoallergenic?

AIM chooses to avoid the term “hypoallergenic” because this term is an unregulated marketing term that has come to mean very little. There are no federal standards or definitions that regulate the use of the term “hypoallergenic” on skin care products. This term can be used in any way a particular company wishes. Products that are labeled hypoallergenic are not required to submit substantiation of their hypoallergenic claims to the FDA. We have conducted extensive trials of this product with AIM staff and Members with no adverse reports. However, the sensitivity of each individual’s skin is unique. If you experience any discomfort, please return them for a full refund. If you are aware of sensitivities to specific ingredients, please click "ingredients" link for a descriptive list of all ingredients.

• How many applications are there in this body wash?

Our goal is to provide a month’s supply. However, your usage will depend on your preferences. You will find skin ‘n bare it lasts longest when you apply it with a washcloth, loofah sponge, or nylon mesh applicator. As with all dailyLife™ products, skin ’n bare it is very concentrated, which results in a little going a long way.

• Why do you use preservatives in the body wash?

AIM is committed to keeping every product we produce as “close to nature” as possible. We have maintained our commitment with these products; however, the use of minimal amounts of preservatives in the dailyLife™ line is essential for safety reasons. Two factors come into play with the use of topical creams, washes, and hair products. Because the product is exposed to hands and air, there is a natural contamination from outside elements that can introduce bacteria or fungi to the product. A small amount of preservative ensures that these unwanted pathogens do not find a home in the product and infect the user. Also, the formulas contain very effective natural extracts, botanicals, vitamins, and amino acids, some of which can become unstable over time. To avoid the inevitable breakdown of certain powerful-yet-delicate ingredients, preservatives are employed to ensure the product’s efficacy and safety over time. Our goal has been to use the minimal amount of preservative ingredients possible, which, when all preservatives are combined, totals less than 1 percent of the formula.

• Is there anyone who shouldn’t use this body wash?

We have formulated all our dailyLife™ products to be safe and high performance, focusing on the use of natural extracts and vitamins. We do recommend that children only use these products under adult supervision since the products are only meant for topical use and we caution against the possibility of accidental oral ingestion.

Every individual has unique skin qualities. If, for any reason, your skin becomes irritated, please discontinue the use of the product and, if necessary, consult with a dermatologist. Our guarantee allows you to return the product for a full refund if you are not satisfied for any reason.
